06/02/2021 Caulfield Held up for clear running from the 300m until the 100m and then failed to run on. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. 13/02/2021 Bendigo Raced keenly in the middle stages. Near the 400m was steadied when awkwardly placed near heels. 12/02/2021 The Valley Steadied near the 150m. 10/10/2020 Caulfield Disappointed for a run near the 300m. 12/02/2021 The Valley Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. Rider stated it raced greenly throughout and despite being urged along failed to maintain contact with the bulk of the field. 12/02/2021 The Valley Raced wide in the early stages until being restrained to obtain cover. 12/02/2021 The Valley Raced wide in the early stages before striding forward to a position one out one back near the 1500m. Crowded when under pressure near the 200m. Rider could offer no explanation for the performance. Lost its off hind plate in running. Vet reported no abnormalities. Trainer later reported it had been galloped on. 26/01/2021 Warwick Farm Began awkwardly and then lost ground a short distance later when tightened for room. 12/02/2021 The Valley Slow to begin. Tactics queried near the 1500m. 12/02/2021 The Valley Eased down in the straight. Vet reported that it had a throat condition which would have affected its performance. 13/02/2021 Bendigo Post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be showing signs of mild heat stress. 31/10/2020 Flemington Underwent a veterinary examination after being fractious in the barrier and was passed fit to race. Began awkwardly. 26/12/2020 Eagle Farm Held up round the home turn, before obtaining a inside run. After passing 100m shifted out under pressure. 06/02/2021 Caulfield Began awkwardly and was then brushed on the hindquarters. Tightened for room passing the 1000m and raced in restricted room for several strides. Rider reported she settled further back than anticipated due to these two incidents early in the race and added that she was held up for clear running from the 350m until shifting in across heels passing the 200m. 06/02/2021 Caulfield Began awkwardly and made contact with the left-hand starting gate. Weakened from the 150m. Rider reported the mare felt short behind in its action. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Tnr - pulled muscle in off hind hamstring, received treatment & will continue prep. 13/02/2021 Flemington Itch Stewards questioned apprentice Liam Riordan with respect to his tactics in the early part of the race when he shifted from the inside of the track to the outside behind Platini. He explained that he was instructed to ride Rich Itch with cover and to remain near the inside if possible. Trainer confirmed instructions but expressed some disappointment he had shifted from the inside to the outside of the track to take up cover.
