SBCSS Program Monitoring and Evaluation
In order to determine the effectiveness of and provide ongoing monitoring of the SBCSS English Language Development program offered to students, SBCSS utilizes its District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC), in both Alternative Education and Special Education programs. The DELAC is comprised of staff from each of the three regions, both administration and teachers and parents of English Learners. Members are also responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completion of the annual ELPAC assessments, maintaining student EL information, providing teachers with EL assessment information, and coordinating professional development for teachers of English Learners. Determining Program Effectiveness & Ongoing Monitoring Bi-annually the DELAC will analyze data pertaining to ELs in order to determine the effectiveness of the EL program and makes any changes necessary to the program:

• CAASPP results of long term ELs vs. long term non-EL students in English Language Arts and Mathematics.
