Meanwhile Cumberland Ward residents get to pick and choose what kind of splash pad setup they want for their children when the Millennium Park expansion work begins. Cumberland Ward Coun. Stephen Blais is asking for feedback fromboth homeowners in the Millennium Park neighbourhood of Orléans and from the rest of his ward on which is the best of three options for a des- tination splash pad setup planned as part of the $8 million park expansion. “The Millennium Splash Pad will be the biggest in the entire east end,” said Coun. Blais, “with a capacity for hundreds. This new splash pad will become a popular des- tination for families during Ottawa’s hot and humid summer days.” The splash pad will be set up beside the existing children’s play structure in the park. The three architectural concepts are posted on Blais’ Facebook page. Residents can comment on and vote for their favourite concept by email to Blais at stephen.blais@ottawa.ca. Deadline for comment is June 30.
