TEMPLE OF THE VEDIC PLANETARIUM (TOVP) Th e holy place of SridhamaMayapur is declared in the scriptures to be the best of holy places in this age of Kali. It is thus literally the spiritual capital of the world, and the TOVP will herald that message to one and all. Th e superstructure, constructed by Gammon International is complete, and fi nishing work is beingmanaged by the well-known Cushman & Wake fi eld Project Management Consultancy. Situated in the ISKCON Mayapur city on over 600 acres of spacious, fertile landscape at the con fl uence of the Ganges and Jalangi rivers, it stands 350’ tall as a beautiful and self-e ff ulgent ornament towering over the plains of this sacred spot. Capped by three main domes topped with dazzling, gold-plated Chakras, and eight smaller chatris, the overall structure blends modern architectural design with classic Vedic architecture, utilizing the traditional Vedic building and spacial orientation science of Vastu.
Situated on a footprint of 13.3 acres, the TOVP is one of the largest religious structures in the world, surpassing the Taj Mahal, Hagia Sophia and St. Paul’s Cathedral, and is ¾ the size of the Giza pyramid. Th e total square footage is over 400,000 square feet, and the main temple/ kirtan hall alone is 1.5 acres and can accommodate 10,000 people. Th e main dome is the largest stainless steel dome of its kind in the world, and hanging within it like a beautiful chandelier is the massive rotating model of our universe as depicted in ancient Vedic cosmological and astronomical scriptures.

atheistic and mechanistic explanations. Th e East Wing will be the glorious temple of Sri Nrsimhadeva, the lion- man avatar of the Lord, along with His loving devotee Prahlad Maharaja, situated on their magni fi cent marble and granite altar. Th e temple 45 acre frontage will be adorned with luscious gardens and attractive walkways interwoven with gorgeous water displays and fountains, yajna-shalas, gazebos and sitting areas, surrounded by the residential quarters, ashrams, shops, restaurants and schools of the expanding Mayapur city.
OUR INVITATION TO YOU “If the devotee offers something to the Lord, it acts for his own interest because whatever a devotee offers the Lord comes back in a quantity a million times greater than what was offered. One does not become a loser by giving to the Lord; one becomes a gainer by millions of times.” - Srila Prabhupada “He who has built a temple for Vishnu reaps the great fruit which one gains by celebrating sacrifices every day. By building a temple for the Lord he takes his family, a hundred generations past and a hundred to come, to the region of Acyuta.” - Agni Purana
