The IN4 Group Impact Report: 25-26

“The way the course was broken down reignited my interest in Unreal Engine, which has been great because I’ve always wanted to venture into virtual production, but I never really had a way in… I’m now pivoting my career into virtual production. It was great being on set and learning about the different roles. This knowledge is giving me the confidence that even my transferable skills would be useful for working in the industry, so for me it has been eye-opening.”

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

Delivered by IN4 Group and supported by three strategic funders — including the Department for Education (DfE), Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) and the Greater London Authority (GLA) — The Creative Engine is a specialist employability and innovation programme that develops the next generation of creative talent through training in emerging technologies and digital production.

“The most exciting part of the programme was discovering the potential of virtual production. It’s really great to get an insight into how it all comes together, what the key components are and being able to get hands- on with the equipment and the techniques.” “A stand-out moment for me has been coming up with an idea for a TV commercial that allows you to use virtual production and push the limits of it. To develop an idea that you’ve come up with and to have that go into production is actually really, really exciting.” Ahmad El-Darsh The Creative Engine graduate, London

Nicholas Asamoah The Creative Engine graduate, London

The 12-week programme combines practical learning in Unreal Engine, Unity, virtual production, artificial intelligence, animation and immersive technologies with live client projects, mentoring, industry masterclasses and business

support. Participants gain hands-on experience using industry-standard tools while building professional portfolios that reflect real-world creative practice.
