MÉERT Véritable institution de la gourmandise à l’état pur, la pâtisserie Méert est l’une des plus vieilles pâtisseries au monde. Depuis 1671, macarons, chocolats et gaufres fourrées lilloises à la vanille font tourner les têtes. Un salon de thé vous attend à l’arrière de la boutique ainsi qu’un charmant restaurant gastronomique. Édifice à la façade historique, de nombreux artistes, peintres, sculpteurs se sont intéressés à ce lieu captivant. Entre sirènes, masques et arabesques, cette maison a été visitée par Napoléon, Churchill, Marguerite Yourcenar et, bien sûr, Charles de Gaulle. A true institution of pure indulgence, the Méert pastry boutique is one of the oldest in the world. Since 1671, macaroons, chocolates and vanilla-filled waffles from Lille have been turning heads. A tearoom awaits you at the back of the shop as well as a charming gourmet restaurant. This building with its historical façade has attracted numerous artists, painters and sculptors to this captivating place. Between mermaids, masks and arabesques, this establishment has been visited by Napoleon, Churchill, Marguerite Yourcenar and, of course, Charles de Gaulle.

Classé monument historique, cet édifice néoclassique de 1904 est l’une des réalisations de Louis-Marie Cordonnier, l’un des plus grands architectes du Nord de son époque (1854-1940). Dès l’entrée, lamagistralemontée d’escalier vous prépare à l’émerveillement. Au rez-de-chaussée, un espace bar et brasserie vous accueille pour une délicieuse et très chic dégustation de cocktails et tapas. Côté assiette, une cuisine locale revisitée par le chef Théo Barde est proposée. Un lieu particulièrement envoûtant où la décoration est signée par la famille Galliaerde : « chic & cosy ». This listed historical neoclassical building dating from 1904 was designed by Louis-Marie Cordonnier, one of the greatest Northern French architects of his era (1854-1940). Right from the entrance, the majestic staircase prepares one for the marvels that await. On the ground floor, a bar and brasserie area welcomes guests for a delicious and extremely chic cocktail and tapas tasting. The dishes feature local cuisine revisited by the chef Théo Barde. The interior design of this particularly enchanting establishment pervaded by a chic and cozy atmosphere is the work of the Galliaerde family.
