THE KING’S BUSINESS

for him will be at Calvary with the man Christ Jesus, who loved and gave Himself a ransom for many? After special prayer that someone in particular would stand out among his as sociates and witness for Jesus Christ, and that a break might speedily come among the crowd of indifferent men—we had no sooner entered the barn than one of the boys came up to us. Such a hungry, thirsty soul! My, how he did drink in the tru th ! He was so willing and ready to put the light upon the lampstand that all might see. How we praised God for the an swered prayer. For all these many tokens'Of His love and workings in the hearts of men we gratefully”praise Him as we press deeper into the battle, and pray that ere the door of mercy closes we may be used in pulling some out of the fire, hating even the gar ment spotted by .the flesh. We do covet more and more ^prevailing prayer for the work in the shops ?.nd car barns.

This was the gist of what he said, and it surely was encouraging, especially when I recall that afternoon, for the atmosphere of that car barn was frigid; but “the wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh nor whither it goeth; so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” He was going home to visit his dear old - mother in th e .far east, as we ran across him on the eve of his departure—a great, big, fine, clean-faced, manly lad, with but one thing lacking which made him poor indeed. People from practically every state in the Union have' visited the booth and taken literature, many of them expressing surprise, when shown the Bible story, that they had never been taught this before. Within one hour, a short time ago, two people called at the Booth and received lit erature on Bible study that they said was “just what they had. been looking for for a long time.” The young man was from a town near Baltimore, Maryland. He said: “I live on a farm; have been identi fied with church work for a long time and wanted to.krtow my Bible. I have tried to get hold of something that would give me
