CELEBRATING LESSONS FROM DAD Happy Father’s Day to All the Great Role Models Out There!

I get it from my dad.

customers and employees happy. This often meant putting other’s needs ahead of his own, but that’s just the type of guy he was. As all of you know, day in and day out, year after year, it’s tough! It truly takes a special person to stay dedicated and pour their heart into their business as my dad did. Watching my dad work his butt off to get the job done the right way instilled a work ethic in me, my brother, and the rest of our family. We all share the same dedication to our businesses and careers. We go to work every day, and just like my dad, we don’t make excuses — even if it’s Christmas or New Year’s Day. As a parent, just like my dad, I strive to set an excellent example for my kids. I try to instill the same morals and ethics into my son and daughter, just like my dad did for me. Beyond making sure they have everything they need to be set up for success, I work to ensure they are good people and get things done the

My dad passed away about three years ago, and it was one of the greatest losses I’ve ever endured. He was a great role model, as he taught me many things. From riding a bike to respecting others, he was always there to guide me through life. He was my inspiration. One of his best qualities was his work ethic. He ran his own business for over 30 years, so I got a front-row seat to the hard work, grit, and determination it truly takes to be successful. I watched him leave for work and return home on difficult days, holidays, rainy days, and even those sunny weekends where it feels like everyone else around you has the day off and you’re the only one stuck heading into the office. He always did whatever it took to get the job done, and he did it with grace. He didn’t make excuses — instead, he did everything he could to keep his

right way, even if it isn’t necessarily the easy way. Sometimes, those are the most difficult lessons involving discipline, but it’s all with pure intentions. Fathers and father figures, whether they’re uncles, neighbors, coaches, or even older brothers, are instrumental in all our lives. This Father’s Day, let’s take the time to give them an extra special day doing something they genuinely enjoy, even if that’s plopped in front of the TV watching endless hours of golf or reruns of their favorite movies! To all the great dads out there, Happy Father’s Day!

Did you know that June 20 is the first official day of summer? This time of year, my family and I do it all! We love hiking, soaking up the sunshine, and embracing the amazing weather. Last summer, I bought a bike from REI, and let me tell you — it was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! I love heading out to the Alpharetta Greenway and biking on those trails! This month, I’ll be keeping busy, with my birthday falling in June and my brother’s wedding to attend! How will you be kicking off your summer?

pitches all the time, both in the office and in movies, commercials, and TV shows. Despite their prevalence, many are counterproductive when used in meetings and can actually undermine trust between a salesperson and their client. One example is introducing a new topic by saying “to be honest” or “to be frank”; these phrases may unintentionally signal that your preceding information was less than genuine. Likewise, saying “trust me” will only make them do the opposite. Speak clearly, and avoid overplayed phrases and cliches to improve your odds of success. No one likes homework. While giving your client a meeting agenda can be a kind and professional gesture, handing them documents equivalent in length and

Tactics Establish the client’s goals and priorities.

Your client is meeting with you for a reason: They are interested in your services. Rather than diving right into your pitch, try to understand your client’s point of view and desired outcome. Developing a rapport and speaking to them as equals can win their respect and improve your chances of closing. Respect their time and prepare accordingly. Start and end your meeting on time. Your client will have planned their time around the meeting, and

you should do the same. If you notice you are over your scheduled time, consider cutting your pitch short and ending the meeting on a respectful note. Additionally, start your meeting with strategic engagement and introduce your most important and persuasive points first. Soften contract language. Reviewing a contract, and especially signing one, can be intimidating. Instead of introducing the paperwork as a “contract,” pose it as an “agreement” or simply as “paperwork.” It is less intimidating for a client to sign “paperwork” rather than a “contract,” although they are effectively the same thing.

they will ask, or you can steer the conversation in a way that introduces it organically.

Closing a deal is more of an art form than a science, but that does not mean we cannot prepare ourselves and act appropriately to maximize our chances of success. We can increase our profits and convert more leads into sales by employing the appropriate methods.

When trying to appeal to global buyers, tailor the campaign to that demographic. What worked in one country might not work in another. Consistency Social media is a transformative and necessary tool in your marketing plan, but you will only see results if your online presence is consistent. Jordan said it took 90 days straight of posting on TikTok before she saw any momentum. You also need a consistent voice in your social media based on a deep understanding of your audience. If your primary audience is millennials, you

create a strong visual appeal. The number of posts you produce also needs to be consistent. Post on social media daily to grow your organic reach or audience views outside advertisements.
