From all of us at the ranch, we welcome you to our 26th Annual production sale. This year has been one for the books. Cattle prices hit all-time high on all classes of cattle. However, we feel that it is just as important to have top-notch, fresh young genetics out in your pasture to ensure excellent conception rates. Front-end cattle always have an added value in your herd. We feel that this group of cattle we are bringing to town is as good as ever. This year we are offering 70 yearling bulls that are the top 35% of the calf crop. The rest are made into steers. We believe if we don’t like them, we don’t sell them. Twelve age advantage coming two-year olds, along with 80 fancy replacement heifers. The quality runs very deep in these bulls and females, whether it is visual appearance, performance, cow power or all of the above. We believe that a bulls job is to service the cows while maintaining body condition and staying sound. That is why we do not creep feed them in the pastures or push them in the feed lot. We feed our bulls for longevity, soundness and performance in the pasture; therefore they will flourish in the extreme weather conditions of North Dakota and Montana. We breed our cattle for the maternal traits, fertility, calving ease and growth. These yearling bulls were weaned the beginning of November and fed a mixed ration of grass hay, corn silage and payback starter pellets for 21 days. They were then converted over to 8 pounds of oats and blueprints balancer 0.33 MON1200. The first of January we added 4 pounds of Blueprint Seedstock Grower 4.0. We stand behind our cattle 100%. In the past ten years, we have had over 90% repeat buyers. So, you can buy with confidence – Satisfaction guaranteed. The bulls will be at Sidney Livestock Market on March 9 th & 10 th for viewing. We will have scrotal measurements, average daily gain and adjusted yearling weights the day of the sale. We will retain 1/3 semen interest in all bulls listed in the book. Guarantee: All bulls selling for $4500 or more are guaranteed for 90 days from the first turnout against breeding injury. Any bull under $4500 is guaranteed to be a sound breeder. At no time do we cover injuries sustained prior to breeding season, or if the bulls are turned out with other bulls in the pasture, neglect or mismanagement. If any injury should occur, credit will be applied toward a replacement bull if available or for next year’s sale, minus $2000 for the salvage value. The cow and bull herd are on a complete health program as recommended by the Western Veterinary Clinic in Williston. All bulls sell as guaranteed breeders and as virgin bulls, unless otherwise noted. Feeding Arragements: Only yearling bulls selling for $4500 or more, we will take home and feed for free of charge until May 15 th . For the bulls under $4500, we can feed them for $3.00 a day until May 15 th . All bulls that we feed will be semen tested at our expense. Delivery: Free Delivery within 500 miles Yearling Bulls- delivery start after May 15 th or if other arrangements have been made before then. Two-Year-Old Bulls- will be delivered within a couple days following the sale. Yearling heifers -is the buyer’s responsibility, however LBS Angus will help accommodate if need be. Take off $100 if you take your bull home sale day! 90 Day Breeding Guarantee: on all bulls selling over $4500. Bulls under $4500, we will guarantee them to pass the semen test. Registration: All bulls are registered or otherwise stated in the lot info. Papers will be transferred at cost. Replacement heifers are sorted into a purebred group and a commercial group. Purebred group can be registered for an additional cost of $100 per heifer, plus the cost of DNA if need be. resillant write up THE BSF RESILIENTS These were both purchased in the North Dakota Angus Association Sale from Becker Stock Farm (The 2023 Breeder of the Year)2212 was the lead off high selling bull of the 2023 sale. In our opinion, he was the standout bull there. Super long, thick and clean made bull out of his Princess Donor Dam. 2301 was purchased in 2024. He is just flat out good. Super thick topped, long ribbed with just a touch more bone than most Resilients. These bulls did not disappoint us when it came down to their offspring. Their calves are just flat-out good. They all have really nice length of spine, good topped and nice rib shape. I’m especially excited to see what the females will do for us. They are impressive.
