There is a good reason this program is called Cross-Ty. Ty Jones is involved in everything we do at Red Hill, and he is adventurous. At Red Hill Farms, we are always working on ways to improve the profitability potential of our commercial customers. At the forefront of this approach is providing seedstock that have the potential to increase hybrid vigor in their herds. Ty Jones has become acutely aware of the economic advan - tages that are attained by capturing the effects of hybrid vigor. Conse - quently, Ty has explored some “out of the box” approaches that might have potential for our customers. One of those approaches has been with the South Poll breed (OP).

few Charolais females to Red Angus bulls. 367M is a prime example of hybrid vigor. Balanced, long-bodied, stout, and heavy-structured only begin to describe him. He’s out of a first-calf heifer, and she’s calved again with another bull calf this year.
