Red Hill Farms - More Than a Bull Sale [3/21/26]

RED ANGUS Age-Advantaged Bulls

This sale will feature the first sons of Fort Knox. After finding Fort Knox in the Leachman catalog and reviewing his video, we decided to attend the sale and evaluate the bull in person. Bart attended the Leachman Sale and, following a thorough evaluation of the bull, determined that it would be advisable to pursue the bull. Fort Knox has adapted well to our fescue environment, and he sheds his winter coat early in the spring. We have been pleased with the Fort Knox calves, and we intend to retain most of his daughters. At Red Hill, we feel like Fort Knox’s biggest impact will be the females that he is leaving behind. Data-wise, Fort Knox stands alone in the Red Angus database; he is in the top 1% for ProS, 6% for HB, and 2% for GM. In the Leachman system, he is 32,582 for $Profit, 172 for $Ranch, 216 for $Feeder, and 3.37 for Fertility. Fort Knox appears to be unique from the perspective of excelling in both Maternal and Terminal traits. Both the top scanning bull and the top scanning heifer in our spring crop were sired by Fort Knox. Plans are to continue to use Fort Knox heavily for both AI and natural service at Red Hill.

A unique combination is a great way to describe 287M. As the first Fort Knox son we will offer at Red Hill, he has cleared many hurdles and improved his data along the way. His $Profit value is currently in the top 0.2% while also being in the top 1% for ProS in the Red Angus Breed. 287M

LOT 1 • REDHILL FORT KNOX 287M

comes from a cow family known for producing high-scanning progeny. 235H’s first two natural calves both scanned #1 within their respective contemporary groups for IMF with a 137 ratio. 287M is in the (0%) for Marbling and (3.6%) for Ribeye within the Leachman system, another unique combination that he has to offer. We are currently using RedHill Comstock 327L (purchased by Jon Keen), a half-brother to 287M. 235H continues to produce superior bulls that rise to the top of our program. 287M has two outstanding flushmate sisters in our fall breeding group. For those who believe in data, this one checks all the boxes. We plan to collect Lot 1 after the sale.

353M is a balanced bull that is moderate and easy-fleshing. Coming from a long line of productive cows, 353M rises to the top when selecting a bull to be a cow maker–$Ranch (166, 0.1%) and Fertility (3.1, 0%). His mother, 217D, is a flushmate sister to 69B, a bull that sold in our 2015 Spring Sale.
