<T7> Fields at a competition, must be consistent with each other. a. All Teamwork Mission fields must have the same type of flooring at an event. The floor surface must be flat and relatively smooth. Examples of acceptable flooring include: i. Hardwood ii. Laminate iii. Concrete iv. Low-pile commercial carpet v. Interlocking foam tiles b. All Skills Mission fields must use the same type of flooring under the Skills Coding Mats. The floor surface must be flat and relatively smooth. See examples in <T7a>. c. Minor aesthetic customizations or repairs are permitted, provided that they do not impact gameplay. <T8> Be prepared for field minor variances. a. Field Elements and PVC Teamwork Field Perimeter placement may vary by ±3 inches, unless otherwise noted on the layout diagrams. b. Placement of Scoring Objects Elements may vary by ±1 inch, unless otherwise noted on the layout diagrams.
Note: It is expected that there will be minor variances in field layouts. As long as the fields are consistent for every Team at the event, all Teams will have the same opportunity for success.
