AERIAL DRONE COMPETITION PRO • RECF
<TM3> Hands out of the Teamwork Mission Field. During a Teamwork Match, Mission Crew Members are prohibited from making intentional contact with any Scoring Objects, Field Elements, Drones, or Robots during a Match, apart from the contact specified below: a. If the Drone has not completed an initial take off, a Mission Crew Member may momentarily reach into the Flight Zone through the Field Perimeter netting from the Alliance Station to troubleshoot the issue. The Drone propellers must not be moving before touching the Drone. Once the Drone has completed an initial take off, no further contact is allowed for the remainder of the Match. b. Mission Crew Members may only momentarily reach into the Flight Zone through the Field Perimeter netting from the Alliance Station to touch their own Robot if the Robot has not moved at all during the Match. c. If a Mission Crew Member cannot reach their Robot or Drone through the Field Perimeter netting, then no contact can be made during the Match. d. Touching the Drone and/or Robot in these cases is permitted only for the following reasons: i. Turning the Drone and/or Robot on or off. ii. Plugging in a battery
iii. Plugging in loose electronic connections. iv. Pairing a Drone and/or Robot to a controller.
Note : Teams should take extreme caution when interacting with a Drone and/or Robot during a Match and should refrain from breaking the plane of the Flight Zone if there are nearby Drones or Robots that may pose a safety risk. In Teamwork Matches, Mission Crew Members can carefully reach through the net from the Alliance station, but may not damage the net in the process. The Head Referee may provide guidance if they feel the team’s actions may pose a safety risk, but ultimately the Team will be responsible for their Team’s safety. <TM4> Keep Scoring Objects in the field. Teams may not intentionally or strategically remove Scoring Objects from their Alliance Field Zone. A Scoring Object that leaves the Alliance Field Zone intentionally or accidentally will be promptly replaced by a Referee into the Alliance Field Zone that is closest to where the Scoring Object was removed. If it is not clear which Alliance Field Zone the Scoring Object came from, then the Scoring Object will remain out of the Field for the remainder of the Match. <TM5> Entanglement with the net. Drones and Robots that become entangled in the net will be Disabled for the remainder of the Match. Teams may briefly attempt to Pilot or Drive their vehicles to untangle from the net, but if it is apparent that the vehicle cannot become untangled or poses a risk of damaging the net, then the vehicle must be Disabled for the remainder of the Match at the Head Referee’s discretion.
