AERIAL DRONE COMPETITION PRO • RECF

TEAMWORK MISSION MATCHES & RANKING <TMR1> Qualification Matches follow the Match schedule.

A Qualification Match Schedule will be available on the day of the competition. The Match Schedule will indicate Alliance partners, Match pairings, Alliance colors, and Match times for each Match. For tournaments with multiple Teamwork Mission fields, the schedule will indicate which Field each Match will take place on. The Match Schedule is subject to change at the Event Partner’s discretion. a. Any multi-division event must be approved by the REC Foundation RSM prior to the event, and divisions must be assigned in sequential order by Team number or randomly assigned by the competition application. b. A Teamwork Match can only start before its scheduled time if all Teams, Drones, Robots, and assigned volunteers are at the Field and ready to play. <TMR2> Each Team will have at least five Qualification Matches. a. Qualifying Events must have a minimum of five Qualification Matches per Team for a standard tournament or eight Qualification Matches per championship event. The recommended amount of Qualification Matches per Team for a Qualifying Event is six to eight, and up to ten for a championship event. b. Exceptions to the minimum number of Qualification Matches must be approved by the REC Foundation prior to or during the Event. Failure to do so may result in the Qualification spots being reduced or removed from the Event. <TMR3> Qualification Matches contribute to a Team’s ranking for Alliance Selection. a. Every Team will be ranked based on the same number of Qualification Matches. b. In some cases, a Team will be asked to play an additional Qualification Match due to an odd number of Teams at the event to ensure all teams receive the same number of ranked Qualification Matches. The extra Match will be identified on the Match Schedule with an asterisk; WPs and SPs for that Qualification Match will not impact a Team’s ranking. Teams are reminded that <G1> is always in effect, and Teams are expected to behave as if the additional Qualification Match counted. c. Team rankings are determined throughout Qualification Matches, starting with the first criteria (i) and ties are broken by the remaining criteria in the order below: i. Average Win Points (WP / Number of Matches played)

ii. Average Match Score (Sum of top four Qualification Match scores / 4) iii. Average Strength of Schedule Points (SP / Number of Matches played) iv. Highest Teamwork Match score v. Second-highest Teamwork Match score vi. Random electronic draw
