AERIAL DRONE COMPETITION PRO • RECF
<SS1> Real Time Scoring - it’s a team effort! The Referee will actively score during the Match. Teams may attempt tasks in any order, but Parked Vehicles and a Docked Drone will only be scored at the end of the Match. It is recommended that the Referee verbally confirms each task as it is successfully completed; for example, by stating, “through the keyhole” or “under the arch”. To assist with accurate scoring, it is recommended that a Mission Crew Member stand next to the Referee to confirm these tasks as they happen. a. All scoring ends when the timer reaches 0:00. A pre-programmed routine which causes the Robot or Drone motion to continue after the end of the match would violate the spirit of this rule. Any scoring that takes place after the Match due to Robots or Drones continuing to move will not count towards the score and is a Violation of this rule. b. In cases where a last-second scoring attempt is “too close to call,” Teams will generally be given the “benefit of the doubt,” and the score will be counted. c. Violation Notes: Because scoring that happens after the Match is not counted, all Violations of <SS1> should be recorded as Minor Violations. <SS2> Scoring Tasks are only counted once per Match. Each of the Skills Mission scoring tasks is only scored once per Match. Repeating the same scoring task in a single Match will not result in additional points. <SS3> Fly through the Panel Holes. The Skills Field includes two Fly Through Panels, and each has two holes: Large Hole & Small Hole. Teams may earn points for flying the Drone through the Small Holes and Large Holes for both Fly Through Panels once per Match for a total of four possible scoring tasks. A Drone is considered to have flown through the Large or Small Hole when: a. The Drone flies through one of the holes front to back (black side is the front, white side is the back). b. The Drone has Cleared the hole.
