<AM2> Resetting a Drone or Robot during an Autonomous Skills Match. A Team may reset their Drone or Robot as many times as desired during an Autonomous Skills Match. a. Upon handling the Drone and/or Robot, they must be brought to the designated starting position. The Drone and/or Robot must be brought to the starting position as defined in <SM1>. i. Teams should provide a verbal signal to the Referee to indicate they are resetting their Drone and/or Robot. For example, say “Resetting the Drone” or “Resetting the Robot”. It is not required to reset both vehicles at the same time. b. Once the reset is complete, the Mission Crew Member may restart the Drone and/or Robot as outlined in rule <AM1>. c. If the Drone or Robot is out of control and is unintentionally leaving the Flight Zone, then the Mission Crew Members can disable (emergency stop) the Robot and/or Drone and reset the vehicle per <AM2a>. d. While the Drone and/or Robot are being returned to the starting position, Mission Crew Members are allowed to: i. Make necessary repairs ii. Replace batteries iii. Modify or update programming code. e. The Autonomous Skills Match time does not stop during a reset. If the Team is in the process of resetting their Robot and/or Drone when the Match time expires, then Robot and/or Drone will be returned to the starting position of the field for Scoring purposes. f. If a Drone or Robot that is running an autonomous program is touched, accidentally or intentionally, by a Mission Crew Member during a Match, then that vehicle must be reset. g. If a Field Element or Scoring Object is displaced by a Robot or Drone during the Match, then during the reset process, a Mission Crew Member may reset the Field Element or Scoring Object to the initial starting positions or leave them in the current location for the remainder of the Match. Mission Crew Members are not allowed to move a Scoring Object to a scored position.
