6 Drone and Robot Rules

This section includes rules and specifications for the Competition Vehicles for Teamwork and Skills Mission Matches. <DR1> Teams must bring at least one Teamwork Drone, Skills Drone and Robot to an ADC Pro Competition. Every team is required to bring their competition vehicles to an event. If a Team arrives without one of their competition vehicles, they will not be eligible to compete and will be removed from the event by the Event Partner. <DR2> Drones and Robots at the field must be ready to play. Teams must be prepared when they bring their Drones and Robots to the field. For example, Teams must ensure that their batteries are charged, their controllers are paired, etc. a. Drones and Robots must be placed on the Field promptly. Repeated failure to do so could result in a Violation of <G1>. The exact definition of the term “promptly” is at the discretion of the Head Referee and the Event Partner, who will consider the event schedule, previous warnings or delays, etc. b. If a Drone or a Robot is delaying the scheduled start of a Match, it may be removed from the Field at the discretion of the Head Referee and Event Partner. c. If a Drone or Robot is not placed on the Field prior to the start of the Match, it cannot be placed on the Field during that Match. d. Teams who use pneumatics on their Robot must have their systems charged before they place their Robot on the Field. e. Teams that are No-Shows for Teamwork Mission Matches are in violation of the RECF Code of Conduct <G1>. Teams should take care and wisely determine when to conduct Skills Matches and Judging interviews to ensure that they will not miss a Teamwork Match.

<DR3> Drones and Robots must pass inspection. Every Drone and Robot is required to pass inspection before being allowed to compete to confirm they comply with the rules. a. The Team is responsible for ensuring that their Drones and Robots comply with the Drone and Robot rules throughout the event. If a Drone or Robot is modified during the event, then the Team should notify the Head Referee if there are changes that may affect the inspection requirements.

<DR4> One Drone and one Robot at the Field. Only one Drone and one Robot may be brought from the Team’s pit area to the Field for each Match.
