ADC Pro 2026-2027 Off Grid Manual

AERIAL DRONE COMPETITION PRO • RECF

<DR12> Teamwork Drones and Robots must have license plates. a. Teamwork Drones and Robots used in Teamwork Matches must have a license plate with their alliance color and official ADC Pro Team Number visible. Team Numbers are issued when a team registers on RECFevents.org for the current season. (Example: 1234A) b. Teams will change their license plates based on their assigned Alliance Color for Teamwork Matches (one Red and one Blue). If a Team forgets to swap their license plate at an event, they will receive a warning. Further violations will result in the Drone not being eligible to participate in the Match. c. License Plates must be a minimum of 3” wide by 1” tall. d. Team Numbers must be white or black in font and clearly legible. The intent is that the Head Referee and/or Scorekeepers can identify the Team’s drone during a Match, so Teams should minimize obstructions and maximize font size. e. Robots used in Skills Matches must also have a license plate, but either Red or Blue color can be used. f. Skills Drones are exempt from this requirement. <DR13> Decorations are allowed. Teams are permitted to decorate their Drones and Robots as long as all rules in this competition manual are followed. Decorations that present a safety hazard are not allowed. Decorations must be in the spirit of an educational competition. <DR14> There is a difference between accidentally and willfully violating a Drone and/or Robot rule. Any Violation of Drone and Robot rules, accidental or intentional, will result in a Team being unable to play until given clearance by a Head Referee. However, Teams who intentionally and/or knowingly circumvent or violate rules to gain an advantage over their fellow competitors are in Violation of the spirit and ethos of the competition. Any Violation of this sort should be considered a Violation of the RECF Code of Conduct. A Team that circumvents a Drone or Robot rule for a competitive advantage should receive an immediate Disqualification for the current Match and be reported to the Event Partner for discussion with the RECF Regional Support Manager, who may recommend that the Team be Disqualified from the event. The Violation should also be reported to the RECF Rules and Conduct Committee following the event. a. If a Drone or Robot is found to be in Violation of a Drone or Robot rule during or immediately following a Match by a Head Referee, it will be Disqualified from that Match. This is considered a Major Violation. This is the only Match that will be affected; any prior Matches that have already been completed will not be revisited. The Team will not be allowed to use the Drone and/or Robot until the Violation is remedied and the Drone is given Flight Clearance by a Head Referee. b. If a Drone or Robot is determined to be in Violation of a Drone or Robot rule before a Match begins, the Drone will be removed from the Field. A Mission Crew Member may remain at the Field so that the Team does not get assessed a “no-show”.
