Recovery Pad and Power Cell Locations Recovery Pads are placed in the corners of the field. Each Recovery Pad had small tabs (not shown in the diagram below). Use Zip-Ties on two of the tabs to secure the Recovery Pads to the Field Perimeter PVC pipe. The Recovery Pad should still remain flat on the floor and it is permissible to have some slack in the Zip-Ties. The intent is so that the Recovery Pad does not significantly move from the corners due to the Drone’s downdraft. The Power Cells are set up the same in each of the four field quadrants. Four of the Power Cells will be placed in corners, which measures approximately 4 inches horizontally and vertically from their surrounding surfaces. The rotation of the Power Cells is permissible to vary. The intent is to make it easy for field reset so that the Power Cells are placed in these corners but they do not need to be exact. The final, 5th Power Cell, will be reset in the center of the Recovery Pad. See <TM1c> for more information on Teams interacting with that Power Cell during the Match setup.
