About Our District Pleasanton Unified School District (PUSD) is a destination school district located in the Bay Area, 40 miles southeast of San Francisco. PUSD believes every student will be a resourceful, resilient, responsible, and engaged world citizen. Vital to bringing this vision to reality is a systemic focus and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion that is imperative to ensuring all students feel included in the learning community. Every year the U.S. Department of Education celebrates great American schools for academic excellence with the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognition. We are incredibly proud of our staff’s hard work, consistency, and dedication, which has resulted in 9 PUSD schools earning the National Blue Ribbon Recognition over the past fifteen years. It affirms their work in creating safe, welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content.
