In 2026-2027, Evgeny Kissin returns to tour Europe and North America in Beethoven-focused recitals as well as with chamber music programs. kissin.org YUNCHAN LIM, piano Since becoming the youngest person to ever win gold at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition at the age of 18 in 2022, Yunchan Lim’s ascent to international stardom has been meteoric. In the 25-26 season, Lim returns to LA Philharmonic, New York, Boston, and Chicago Symphony Orchestras; while making debuts with Philadelphia Orchestra, Staatskapelle Dresden, Santa Cecilia, Concertgebouw, and Gewandhaus Orchestras. The season will also see recitals in Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, and Carnegie Hall, among other major stages. The 26-27 season sees Lim perform the complete Mozart Piano Sonatas. Korean pianist Yeol Eum Son is best known for her astonishing virtuosity, but her gifts as a programmer and interpreter must not be overlooked. Her choice of repertoire, which spans everything from the works of Bach and Mozart to those of Shchedrin and Kapustin, is guided chiefly by the quality and depth of the music. Resident artist with London’s renowned Barbican Centre across 25-26, in 26-27 Montero unveils an Iberian-themed program of works by Granados, Albéniz, Chopin, Liszt, and the famed Catalan pianist Alicia de Larrocha.
