FARMHOUSE | Greater Kruger National Park

SEASONALITY No matter what the time of year, each season has something special to offer. The dry, gold-brown winter bush makes for excellent sightings, but the lush green foliage of the summer months brings with it migrant birds and new-born animals. SUMMER (October – April) Temperatures soar above 30°C (86°F) alongside summer rains and thunderstorms.

F armhouse reframes the family safari experience, creating a space where curiosity and comfort flow effortlessly. The villa’s modern, muted interiors echo the surrounding wilderness through thoughtful design and natural materials, creating spaces that draw everyone together naturally. AN ENRICHING EXPERIENCE Daily schedules can be tailored to meet your needs, and private services ensure both freedom and comfort. Being in an area with such rich biodiversity means there are numerous opportunities for learning. Bush walks allow another perspective, bringing you closer to the landscape’s smaller wonders and hidden stories. Enjoy a learning experience by taking part in one of our conservation activities or visiting our Conservation and Research Centre. Through specially crafted activities, we invite you to get a close look at endangered species and work with experts on the ground.

For those keen to develop new skills, photographic safaris help capture perfect wildlife moments, while dedicated birding expeditions reveal the rich diversity of our feathered residents. Each activity creates its own special moments of discovery and connection. TIME WELL SPENT Days unfold in shared moments – morning game drives spark wide- eyed wonder, while afternoons might find family members scattered between the villa’s peaceful corners, playing games around the kitchen table or gathering around the pool. Meals are a relaxed affair — having your own chef means that you can prepare and plan around your personal schedule. While guests have access to the facilities at Malewane Lodge, including the spa and gym, the majority of guests find themselves content in Farmhouse’s intimate setting, where a dedicated entrance ensures seclusion and privacy, and dedicated staff provide everything you need and more.

WINTER (May – September)

Temperatures are cooler but pleasant around 24°C (75°F) and vegetation is more sparse, resulting in improved visibility for game viewing as the animals make their way to the watering holes for hydration.
