WATERSIDE | Greater Kruger National Park
THE ROYAL RANGERS CLUB At Royal Malewane, children transform natural curiosity into lasting wilderness experiences through our Royal Rangers programme. The bush serves as a dynamic classroom where each day brings fresh discoveries for kids of all ages. Beyond adventure, the programme nurtures future conservation leaders.
W hether it’s making pizzas on the deck, witnessing tense moments of competition in the games room, or enjoying an eventful night drive with our highly-skilled Field Guides, Waterside is a great getaway for families and/or friends. Accommodating up to 16 guests, the lodge is an inviting retreat where loved ones connect and unwind. Four Luxury Suites, two Aloe Rooms and one Baobab Suite each offer thoughtfully designed options, lovingly and colourfully created by founder Liz Biden. SPACE FOR DAYS The Luxury Suites are wonderfully spacious, with large en-suite bathrooms featuring freestanding baths and indoor and outdoor showers. Private decks with heated pools and indoor fireplaces enhance these elegant spaces. Oriental rugs in rich jewel tones adorn the floors, while traditional thatch and wooden ceiling beams add volume. The two-bedroom Baobab Suite accommodates four guests, while two
intimate Aloe Rooms, each with its own deck and pool, round out the accommodation options. Illuminated pathways lead to Waterside’s shared spaces - reception, dining areas, library, family games room, wine cellar, Reflections Spa, gym and yoga room. Children are welcome in all three accommodation options, and numerous fun activities are offered. THE PERFECT SETTING Waterside is a captivating sanctuary where memorable experiences unfold according to nature’s timetable. Against a backdrop of fever trees, this lodge connects you with the magic of the bush and each other. Offering room to do your own thing (if you so wish) and then regather, guests can relax around their private heated pool or join a walking safari with fellow travellers - each enjoying the bush in their own special way. The main pool deck is the unofficial meeting point at Waterside, where (from the water’s edge), you can watch the bush unfold as elephants occasionally wander past.
By fostering a personal connection to nature, we
inspire children to protect our planet’s biodiversity and face environmental challenges with knowledge and passion.
