a workshop titled “Protecting Yourself from Scams.” His presentation shed light on the growing threats of online fraud and financial insecurity, equipping attendees with tools to safeguard themselves and their families. The chapter also proudly marched in the NAACP MLK Day Parade in Carrollton, further affirming its dedication to honoring Dr. King’s legacy. CDAC also invested in youth development through its Dress for Success Initiative. Brothers hosted tie tutorials for young men, underscoring the importance of professional attire. In partnership with the sisters of Sigma Gamma Rho, the Social Action and Kappa League Committees participated in a Youth Symposium, where CDAC facilitated an engaging discussion on the significance of proper attire — with special focus on the components of a tuxedo. Through holiday outreach, civic action, youth mentorship, and continuous service, the Carrollton-Douglasville Alumni Chapter embodies the spirit of achievement in every field of human endeavor. From feeding families to educating future leaders, CDAC remains steadfast in its mission to serve, inspire, and strengthen the community.

Program to host a Free Health Fair at the Community Achievement Center in Decatur, GA. The event, which ran from 9 AM to 12 PM, offered critical health screenings— including blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, and flu checks—to empower the community with vital health knowledge and resources. A Day of Prevention and Care Dozens of attendees took advantage of the free services, gaining insights into their health and receiving guidance on next steps for medical care. One impactful moment occurred when a community member's blood glucose screening revealed dangerously low levels—a condition they hadn't realized was causing their persistent fatigue and dizziness. Thanks to the quick action of the Morehouse School of Medicine team, the individual received immediate care, dietary recommendations and a free referral for follow-up care to monitor their condition by the H.E.A.L. Clinic a division associated with Morehouse School of Medicine. The Acronym stands for “Health Equity for All Lives and provide health services for the low income, uninsured and underinsured community. "I had no idea my blood sugar was so low—I just thought I was tired from work," the attendee shared. "This fair might have saved me from a serious health crisis. I'm so grateful."

DECATUR (GA) ALUMNI CHAPTER Cotton Club Fundraiser: Elevating Impact for Kappa League The Cotton Club Fundraiser continues to be a signature event for the Decatur Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., raising vital funds for the Kappa League youth mentorship program. Over the past three years, the event has raised funds supporting initiatives that provide mentorship, leadership training, and educational opportunities for young men in the community. Each year, the fundraiser brings together community leaders, sponsors, and supporters for an unforgettable evening of entertainment, fellowship, and philanthropy. With past highlights including: live music, casino-style gaming, cigar lounges, and even helicopter rides, the event creates a one-of-a-kind experience while making a lasting impact. As the Cotton Club Fundraiser grows, so does its reach— which is why this Signature Event will be held at Porsche Driving Experience. This year we will be “Chasing Diamonds” as proceeds will continue to go to our award winning, Decatur Kappa League, and uplifting projects for the city of Decatur.
