Atlanta (GA) Alumni Chapter Honored for Excellence in Kappa League and Digital Website Presence at 99th Southeastern Province Council
Gerald Geter, DeGreer Haris, David Jones, Enoch Johnson, James Peterson, Dylan Pritchett, and Adam Thrasher. These new initiates represent the continued growth and strength of the chapter, bringing fresh energy, perspective, and a commitment to upholding the ideals of Kappa Alpha Psi. ROCK HILL (SC) ALUMNI CHAPTER The Rock Hill (SC) Chapter Sponsors their 11th Annual Klassic Golf Tournament On the morning of April 26th, with dew on the ground, row upon row of pristine golf carts eagerly awaited their occupants to ferry them to their designated hole for the 8AM shotgun start of the Rock Hill (SC) Alumni Chapter (RHAC) 11th Annual Kappa Klassic golf tournament at the Carolina Lakes Golf Club in Indian Land, SC. The brothers of the RHAC were already here. Preparing to register 124 golfers for this chapter’s premier event; a golf tournament fundraiser to help achieve the RHAC Foundation’s Guide Right goal of raising $15,000 for scholarships. “This is the largest turnout to date, and we hosted both men and women players” said Brother Roosevelt Dillard, committee chairman. “I appreciate the community support, the support of the Brothers, and the support of our Corporate sponsors to help make this event a resounding success”, he said. The spirited tournament concluded with lunch, presentation of awards for on-the-links achievements, and a raffle with the grand prize of a 70” television.
The Atlanta (GA) Alumni Chapter was proudly recognized at the 99th Southeastern Province Council. The chapter received two prestigious honors that highlight its commitment to youth development and effective communication. Under the direction of Brother Patrick Simon, the chapter’s Kappa League program was awarded the Inaugural Kappa League Community Service Award – Large Chapter, a testament to the impactful mentorship and service initiatives. Adding to the celebration, the chapter’s Student of the Year participant Ari Copeland earned first prize in the competition, showcasing the caliber of excellence cultivated within the program. In the realm of digital outreach, Brother Marquel Hendricks, the Chapter’s Webmaster, played a pivotal role in earning the Website of the Year Award-Large Chapter at the 99th Southeastern Province Council. The website has become a vital tool in connecting the Atlanta Alumni Chapter to both its members and the broader community, serving as a hub for information, engagement, and visibility. These accolades underscore the Atlanta (GA) Alumni Chapter’s unwavering dedication to achievement, leadership development, and impactful communication.
