The Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter Represents at Regional Leadership Conference Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter supported Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. State of South Carolina, State Leadership Conference. Polemarch Torri Toland and Vice Polemarch James Hamilton attended the conference held in Columbia, SC on March 14th, 2025. With over 400 in attendance during the opening public meeting, the Polemarch and Vice Polemarch provided greetings on behalf of the Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter and welcomed everyone to our fair city. Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter 78th Charter Day On February 27th, 2025, at Brookland Baptist Banquet & Conference Center, the Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter commemorated its 78th charter day and white jacket ceremony. The featured speaker for the evening was Brother Chris Canty, Super Bowl champion, 11-year NFL professional, and current host of ESPN Radio’s Unsportsmanlike with Evan, Canty and Michelle. The event attracted over 300 brothers, family members, and guests. It was also covered by local news station WIS News reporter Rick Henry. Six brothers were honored for their 50 years of membership and presented with their white jackets: Brothers Joe Seibles, Chester Leaks, Bernard Cunningham, Warren McCullough, Tuxberry Suber, and Devon Wright. This milestone represents a significant achievement in their commitment to the bond. Additionally, each year during the Charter Day and White Jacket Banquet, three members from our distinguished chapter are recognized for their dedication to Kappa, the chapter, civil, and community services. The awardees and their respective awards are: • Brother Xavier Starkes: Walker E. Solomon Award (Lifetime Achievement) • Brother Vincent Lyde: Samuel B. Marshall Award (Chapter and Community Service) • Brother Franklin Freeman: Joseph A. Johnson Award (Kappa Man of the Year) Brother Collie E. Rayford was also acknowledged with the Joseph R. Jenkins Award (Southeastern Province Lifetime Achievement).

COLUMBIA (SC) ALUMNI CHAPTER The Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter Wins SEP J. Michael Graves Award Again! The Columbia Alumni Chapter has once again achieved remarkable recognition by receiving the Large Chapter of the Year honor for the Southeastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. The chapter had the honor of taking a picture with our esteemed Grand Polemarch, Jimmy McMikle. This marks the second consecutive year our exceptional efforts and contributions have been acknowledged across our region, which includes South Carolina, Georgia, Nigeria, South Africa, and Abu Dhabi. We extend our deepest gratitude to the brothers of Columbia Alumni for their unwavering dedication and teamwork, which continuously create a positive impact in our community and uphold our fundamental purpose. The selection criteria for the award cover various achievements and organizational attributes. Receiving this award again reflects the Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter's adherence to excellence and its contributions to the fraternity, the chapter, and the wider communities of Columbia, South Carolina. Congratulations are extended to the Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter for their work and for setting a standard in the Southeastern Province. Columbia Alumni Recieves a Reclamation Award The Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter received the Southeastern Province Reclamation Award for Large Chapters at the 99th Southeastern Province Council in Augusta Ga., recognizing its efforts in reclaiming a significant number of members. This award acknowledges the contributions of the Columbia (SC) Alumni and its supporting members. The Reclamation Award is given to chapters and alumni chapters for their success in member reclamation and commitment to the fraternity. Southeastern Province Polemarch Brian C. Mock presented the award to Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter Polemarch Torri Toland. This speaks volumes about the dedication, communications and commitment of the brothers of the Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter. 2025 St. Jude Sunday of Hope Columbia (SC) Alumni brothers participated in the 2025 St. Jude Sunday of Hope this past Sunday at Bible Way Church of Atlas Road. For more than two decades, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with St. Jude in efforts to create impactful change in the lives of children worldwide with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Since 2003, the fraternity has raised more than $3.1 million for the renowned children’s hospital through programs like St. Jude Sunday of Hope and the annual St. Jude Walk/Run, held during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month each September. In February 2024, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. announced a new goal of raising an additional $2 million over three years to further support research and treatment of catastrophic childhood diseases. The Chapter Welcomes New Members The chapter welcomed the Spring 2025 Theta Class: Taylor Harper, Taurean Robinson, Ryan King, Michael Brown, and Ratozzrin Salters to the Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter!
