T he birth of football in the United States goes back to Nov. 6, 1869, when teams from Princ- eton and Rutgers university’s met in New Brunswick, New York, for the 1st intercollegiate football game. In the early games, each team was allowed twenty-five players and in 1880 to the present-day number of eleven. Originally a touchdown was count- ed as two points and a field goal was five points. In the present-day game, a touchdown is worth six points and a field goal three points.
Nearly all major college football teams are members of either the National Collegiate Ath- letic Association (NCAA) or the National Asso- ciation of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), which implement the rules and oversee competition between teams. most of the major universities are grouped in conferences, such as the Big Ten, the Pacific Ten, the Big Eight, the Southeastern Conference, and the Ivy League. College teams usually play about eleven games a season.

Quality Control can be as simple as having the truck looked over by a fellow or lead technician. Often overlooked items such as a loose hose clamp can be found and remedied preventing a costly downtime event.
IMPORTANCE OF MAINTAINING THE CHARGINGSYSTEMANDBATTERIES
LEADING CAUSES OF CHARGING SYSTEM FAILURE: 4 Dirty battery terminals or wire connections. 4 Corrosion build up on the terminals and connections. 4 Not keeping the batteries charged. 4 Premature failure of the alternator. 4 The alternator is designed to keep the batteries at a full charge but not to charge them up when dead. 4 A slipping belt can make the alternator undercharge the system, which will eventually kill the battery and damage the alternator. RESULTS OF NOT MAINTAINING CHARGING SYSTEM AND BATTERIES: 4 Breakdown 4 Stranded on the road 4 Costly Repairs
SOLUTIONS: 4 Regularly check and clean the battery connections. 4 Keep batteries properly charged at all times using the proper charge and the proper charging method outlined by the type of battery according to the manufac- turer’s recommendations. 4 Regularly check the alterna- tor belt for wear and damage to prevent slippage on the alternator pulley wheel.
