East assistant coach just completed his 7th season as the head football coach at Whiteville High where he has compiled a career record of 68-17... his teams have won 4 conference titles and made 6 state playoff appearances, including finishing as the 2A East Regional runners- up this season … 4-times named Conference Coach of the Year … previously coached at Wallace Rose Hill High, where he was the offensive coordinator for teams that won 5 state championships, and St. James (SC) High … born in Tabor City, NC … 2004 graduate of South Columbus High where he was named All-Conference in football, basketball, and baseball … 2008 graduate of UNC Pembroke … “Coaching in this game is an honor and privilege. My father coached in this game. I remember going to the game as a kid, player, and coach for many years. I’ve had players compete in this game as well.
