Rosie McIntyre: It doesn’t necessarily hinder candidates who don’t have qualifications but having the right skills certainly does help. PJ: We’re seeing more people paying for qualifications themselves. SW: When we all talk about the payroll industry, how many of these are small business owners and small businesses? Qualifications need to trickle down at every single level. Qualifications need to trickle down at every single level Samantha O’Sullivan: The CIPP runs a payroll for non-payroll professionals course, so that’s for HR, accountants and people in finance who aren’t from a payroll background, but who process payroll within their jobs.
