To successfully complete this BST Module, participants shall be able to:

Demonstrate the ability to safely and correctly perform a rescue in a wind turbine environment (L3 – Skills)
Demonstrate the ability to safely and correctly use rescue devices (L3 – Skills)
Demonstrate the ability to safely and correctly use anchorage points (L3 – Skills)
Demonstrate safe and correct behaviour on ladder with PPE (L3 – Ability & Skills)
ELEMENT 19.1 - RESCUE SITUATIONS IN WIND TURBINES
The instructor shall:
Explain and demonstrate how to safely approach rescue situations in wind turbines
ELEMENT 19.2 - SAFE AND CORRECT RESCUE
The instructor shall:
Explain and demonstrate how to conduct a safe and correct rescue in a wind turbine environment and First Aid relating to rescue. The exercises shall include:
a. Handling a conscious/unconscious casualty
b. Suspension trauma prevention
c. Connecting the carabiner to the c asualty’s harness
d. Applying tension to the rope to enable safe disconnection of the c asualty’s fall arrest and/or work positioning lanyard
e. Safe descent of casualty
f.
Suspension trauma treatment
ELEMENT 19.3 - CORRECT BEHAVIOUR ON THE LADDER WITH PPE
The instructor shall:
Explain and demonstrate the correct behaviour on ladder with PPE
Participants shall:
Demonstrate the ability to safely and correctly use the evacuation/rescue devices, including:
a. Pre-use inspection
b. Correct and efficient use of anchor points
