ELEMENT 6.1 - SECONDARY SURVEY
The instructor shall:
Explain correct secondary survey
Explain the general conditions of secondary survey using the A-B-C-D-E principle
Explain the A-B-C-D-E principle in the context of the secondary survey:
a. D: Disability/Neurologic assessment
b. E: Exposure and environmental control
The instructor shall:
Demonstrate the differences between/indications for sitting, lying and shock position (conscious/unconscious) and the importance of keeping up body temperature
ELEMENT 6.2 - FIRST AID - DIFFERENT INCIDENTS TYPES
The instructor shall:
Demonstrate different incidents
a. Bleeding
b. Burns
c. Chemical contacts
d. Hypothermia
e. Hyperthermia
f.
Bite wounds
g. Eye injury
h. Fractures
i.
Injury to joints, muscles and bones
j. Rest - Ice - Compression - Elevation (R - I - C - E) method
k. First Aid equipment for incidents
