Further reminder to Licensed Premises Gaming Licence (LPGL) holders A venue licence is required to operate gaming activities from 1 July 2023. All Licensed Premises Gaming Licences will expire on 30 June 2023. The application process is online at www.gaming.tas.gov.au. If you haven’t already, commence your application now to ensure your application is assessed prior to 30 June. Supporting materials have been developed to help applicants and are available from the Gaming website. Thank you to all of those venues that have submitted applications so far. Assessment of these applications is well underway.

Liquor permit applications reminder

As we approach a busy time of year, licensees are reminded to submit any liquor permit applications with sufficient time for assessment. New or extended permit applications should be lodged at least 14 days prior to the planned commencement. There are different permit lengths available, from less than four days, six months and up to 12 months.

Christmas and New Year office hours

Please note that Liquor and Gaming Branch offices will close from 3pm, Friday 23 December 2022 and re open 8.45am, Tuesday 3 January 2023.
