The communications team schedules daily posts and engagements to help disperse the wide range of information about HudsonAlpha. This helps maintain the brand identity across all channels and helps information overload to our various audiences. Also keep in mind, that the communications team is also the point of contact for any crisis response and should be contacted if the need arises. These guidelines apply whether employees and students are posting to their own profiles or commenting on other profiles/posts.
Some Social Media practices to keep in mind:
“Tweets are my own, not an endorsement for HudsonAlpha”— this is not necessarily true. The public still sees you as a HudsonAlpha representative.

Try to avoid Twitter wars/arguments even if they are relevant to the Institute. Ex: whole genome vs. exome sequencing

Be professional, use good judgment and be accurate and honest in your communications; errors, omissions or unprofessional language or behavior reflect poorly on HudsonAlpha, and may result in liability for you or HudsonAlpha.
