easily learned and practiced forms for people to experience this healthy
exercise comfortably and safely. Additionally, within the Seated Tai Chi course, forms have been adapted for participants who prefer to remain mostly seated during an exercise class. Many of the forms have been researched and found to be beneficial for improve balance, reduced stress, improved muscle and bone strength, and improved memory. The movements are taught in a progressive manner with time for repetition and fun. Min 4/Max 15 Traditional Tai Chi Tuesdays | April 1 - May 20 | 2:15 - 3:00 p.m. Seated Tai Chi Tuesdays | April 1 - May 20 | 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Evamere Multipurpose Room Gentle Yoga Ages: 18 & over | Fee: $75 Instructor: Marcie Nithang, LPCC, RYT This class allows you to move at a slow and easy pace, as it is mindful and restorative. The emphasis of gentle yoga is on relaxation, listening to your body, and calming the mind as well as stretching and strengthening. Modifications and the use of props such as blocks, straps, and chairs are incorporated as needed. This meditative class offers a good balance for athletes who are seeking breath and body awareness in addition to their workouts. Appropriate for all fitness levels. Tuesdays | April 1 - May 6 | 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Evamere Multipurpose Room Yoga Flow Ages: 18 & over | Fee: $75 Instructor: Marcie Nithang, LPCC, RYT Take time for yourself to de-stress. In this class you will maintain awareness and focus on your breath while moving through a series of yoga poses. This style of yoga builds heat, flexibility and strength, while maintaining focus on good alignment and learning to listen to your body. Some yoga experience is helpful, but not necessary.
