Over the past 20 years, the Poteet Theatre has produced numerous shows providing quality family entertainment to the Oklahoma City community. The theatre is located in the basement of St. Luke’s Methodist Church’s downtown campus. This October, Poteet Theatre will present The Secret Garden , a musical based on the 1911 classic novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. This enchanting production is a joy-filled story of forgiveness and growth, showing Oct. 10 through 19. “ The Secret Garden is a musical that has something for everyone!” said Colin Androlonis, the musical’s director. “Children will root for the play’s protagonist, Mary Lennox, a young girl who is orphaned during a cholera outbreak and sent to live with her reclusive Uncle Archibald. Her mischievous and adventurous nature leads her to discover an abandoned garden that holds many family secrets. Adults will be swept away by the lush and gorgeous score, as well as the captivating storytelling.
