Stephen Jury is vice chairman of J.P. Morgan Private Bank and a markets and global commodity strategist. Based in New York, Jury is part of a team that delivers a comprehensive vision of the firm’s macro market and investment views to clients. He is primarily responsible for coordinating and providing advice to clients on commodity markets, including energy, precious metals, base metals and agriculture. He works closely with J.P. Morgan Private Bank, Chase Wealth Management and J.P. Morgan Securities. Prior to his current role, Jury spent five years as a global portfolio specialist with the firm’s CIO team, and before that, five years as global head of fixed income, currency and commodity specialists. He has more than 40 years of experience in financial markets. Before joining J.P. Morgan, Jury was chief FX dealer at Chemical Bank and global head of FX trading at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. More recently, he served as chief investment officer at Greenwich, Connecticut-based Tradex Capital Markets. Earlier in his career, he was senior vice president in foreign exchange sales at HSBC Bank in New York and deputy head of foreign exchange at UBS, also in New York. Jury currently holds Series 7, 63, 9, 10 and 23 securities licenses. He holds dual nationality in Britain and the United States and lives in New York with his family.

Cortney Cowley serves as Oklahoma City branch executive and assistant vice president for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Cowley joined the bank in 2015 as an economist and was promoted to senior economist in 2021. In 2025, she began her role as branch executive. As Oklahoma City branch executive, Cowley is the bank’s lead officer and economist in Oklahoma. She recruits and works closely with the Oklahoma City Branch Board of Directors and is responsible for briefing Kansas City Fed President Jeff Schmid, a member of the Federal Open Market Committee, on economic trends in the state. She also serves as a special adviser on agriculture to Vice Chair for Supervision Michelle Bowman at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Cowley’s team conducts research and surveys on key regional issues such as energy, manufacturing and migration. Cowley holds a doctorate in agricultural economics from Oklahoma State University, as well as a master’s degree in civil engineering from Colorado State University and a bachelor’s degree in biosystems engineering from Oklahoma State, where she was named a Harry S. Truman Scholar. She is a member of the Economic Club of Oklahoma, the Downtown Club of Oklahoma City and the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association and serves as an economic adviser on the campaign cabinet of the United Way of Central Oklahoma. Cowley, along with her husband and 8-year-old twins, lives on a small farm northwest of Oklahoma City.
