The Food Service Associate is a newly created position that provides personalized service to the patient, offering and delivering nutritious meal selections tailored to each patient’s choices in adherence with their physician’s ordered diets. Our program is designed to have a dedicated FSA to each unit to deliver quality patient care. Plant-Based dinners were implemented Monday, November 28th, 2022 in support of the Plant Forward Initiative. The Department of Food & Nutrition at Jacobi implemented Plant- Based lunches in March of 2022.
