1 Go for a sunset ride on the Wheeler Ferris Wheel . Meet the sky eye to eye, plus enjoy soaring views of downtown and the river on each turn. 2 Make the most of summer’s long days at RIVERSPORT Adventures . Speed down the rapids , climb high on the SandRidge Sky Trail, zoom across the Oklahoma River and hang ten on the all-new Surf OKC, opening in August 2020.
3 Take a cruise on the water . From the pedal boats at Scissortail Park to a water taxi ride on the Bricktown Canal, Oklahoma City offers plenty of options for a relaxing ride on the water. 4 See a movie under the stars . Roll out a blanket at a pop-up outdoor movie or cruise in to one of the six drive-in theaters still operational in the state. 5 Cool off at an Oklahoma beach or swimming hole . Thankfully, our state’s abundant waters like Turner Falls and Chickasaw Recreation Area’s Little Niagara are a quick car ride from the metro.
