I thought it might feel intimidating to visit the Capitol with kids, but I was pleasantly surprised at how welcomed and included my kids felt. Everyone we encountered, from security to the gift store staff, seemed delighted to see us enjoying the space. As Amanda Harmer with the Oklahoma Arts Council explained to us: ‘This is the people’s house, we are all welcome.
