Launching GIJTR 2.0: Building on Remarkable Impact and Reach

As it entered its second decade of programming in 2024, the Global Initiative for Justice, Truth and Reconciliation (GIJTR) was thrilled to launch GIJTR 2.0, which reflects a reconfiguration of its partners and builds upon findings and impact from its first ten years . GIJTR 2.0 includes four new partners, expanding the unique consortium’s ability to meet the urgent needs of survivors and civil society organizations in conflict and post conflict settings. The new mechanism is well equipped to contribute new policy recommendations and connect local partners to policy platforms.

New GIJTR partners include Center for Justice and Accountability (CJA) ; the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect ; Impunity Watch ; and Justice Rapid Response . Six organizations have also joined GIJTR as consulting partners, including Global Diligence LLP ; Search for Common Ground ; Swisspeace ; Synergy for Justice ; Videre Est Credere ; and the Team for Egalitarian Emancipation and Transformation . The new partners bring a wealth of expertise in legal accountability, violence prevention, gender-centered programming and advocacy, among other issues. They join veteran GIJTR partners Asia Justice and Rights ; Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation ; Fundación de Antropología Forense de Guatemala and founding partner, the International Coalition of
