Excel PT: Managing Aches And Pains

Latest Update On COVID-19 Safety & Precautions From Excel CEO Kristin Mullen

To Our Patients, We continue to monitor the latest information and directives from Governor Wolf and PA Secretary of Health Dr Rachel Levine, and wanted to share several updates since our last communication. All 33 area Excel Clinics are Open with new patient scheduling! All of our Excel area clinics remain open to serve patients in need and we have recently revised our patient scheduling to handle increased patient capacity, while fully conforming to social distance guidelines. • Patients are now scheduled in ½ hour increments so that we can ensure the least amount of patient and staff overlap and continue to provide quality care that patients and physicians have come to expect. • Our available treatment hours have also been expanded during the week to include early morning through to 7pm, as well as Saturday hours by appointment. Our Safety Precautions and Protocols: As we proceed into the next phase of Governor Wolf’s Order, we realize that there is still uncertainty as to what to expect in the coming weeks. In this period of uncertainty, our goal remains to focus on patient recovery and do all we can to assist patients to seek relief from pain, overcome an injury or chronic condition and help guide them on the path to healing and improved health. Below are additional precautions we have implemented to help ensure the safest possible treatment environment: • Patient & Staff Screening - Each of our clinics follows the latest CDC Guidance and has implemented both patient and staff screening for symptoms and temperature, as well as new safety protocols, including the use of PPE and masks or facial coverings. • Use of Masks - Patients are strongly urged to wear masks during their appointment and each treatment area is also separated so as to maintain social distance. • Frequent Sanitization - All treatment areas are sanitized both before and after patient use and all common touch areas and equipment are sanitized hourly. Our goal is to maintain continuity of care and ensure treatment options for patients which can be addressed immediately for those suffering from pain, loss of function or an injury. Additional details regarding our safety protocols are highlighted on our website, www.excelphysicaltherapy.com TeleHealth with Doxy.me! To further accommodate the needs of patients who may be unable to visit a clinic setting, such as a those patients who are considered high risk, or those who are immunocompromised, we continue to offer a TeleHealth option as a convenient way to obtain treatment, until such time that the patient can

return to an In Clinic setting. Our TeleHealth platform is Doxy.me, which is very easy to use and does not require the download of any app or frustrating logins and patients have been very receptive towards using the online tool as a convenient way to obtain treatment from the comfort of home. Resumption of Elective Surgeries in Pennsylvania The Pennsylvania Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine and Governor Wolf have provided guidance for hospitals and medical facilities to resume elective surgeries and procedures which have recently been delayed. We realize that the resumption of these activities is complex and involves the prioritization of patients based on many different factors. As elective surgical procedures begin to be scheduled, we wanted to extend an offer to assist any patient who is in pain with either Prehabilitation to build strength and conditioning prior to a surgical procedure, or Post-Surgical Rehabilitation to help patients quickly recover range of motion, flexibility and function after surgery. Our clinics stand ready to assist patients in a time of need while also preventing any added burden to an already stressed healthcare system. Did you know you can choose your physical therapy provider? As a company, our mission is to service our community in the safest way possible and we are committed to ensuring the optimal health for all of our patients. In this environment, more than ever before, patients want to ensure they are receiving the best quality, value and results in their healthcare decisions. All physical therapy treatment is not the same. We are different from other physical therapy practices: · We are owned and operated by licensed physical therapists! · We do not utilize physical therapy aides or assistants · Patients treat one-on-one with the same physical therapist at each visit · Our therapists provide hands on treatment and patient education to help you fully achieve your recovery goals At Excel, we strive to ensure that we exceed patient expectations every day! We are proud to be the chosen destination for physical therapy treatment, and have assisted over 95,000 area patients in the past 30 years to meet their recovery goals, utilizing a model of hands on therapy and individualized care. While the coronavirus pandemic has required everyone to adjust to a new environment, you can reliably count on all of our Excel associates to be there for you and we stand ready to assist you today. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can help alleviate your pain, assist with rehabilitation or improve your function. Until then, we wish you, your family and friends continued good health. Stay safe! Sincerely, Kristin Mullen, CEO Excel Physical Therapy
