A new season in Beachwood always brings lots of novel opportunities for community engagement and personal growth. Our Community Services Department takes immense responsibility for these programming objectives and is always seeking “More Ways to Play,” which means strengthening its offerings for everyone’s benefit and maximizing the use of our top-notch facilities. This spring/summer certainly will mark itself as a banner year . The evidence lies in these pages, along with the imminent grand opening of our new playground on Fairmount Boulevard plus our first full season at the newly constructed pickleball and volleyball courts. To highlight some attractive options, I’d like to call your attention to these events and programs: NEW EVENTS: Beachwood Blackout Solar Eclipse Watch Party, April 8: The city, Beachwood Schools and Crestmont have partnered for this once-in-a-lifetime occasion. Join us from 2-4:30 p.m. on April 8 at the Beachwood High School stadium for crafts, games, a movie truck, refreshments and more. Eclipse glasses will be available while supplies last. Luau Party Night at BFAC, June 27: Due to the overwhelming success of last summer’s Disco Party Night, we’ve added a second evening celebration for our aquatic center patrons. NOTABLE PROGRAMS: • Photography for Parents • Preschool Adult & Me Baking Class • Expanded Adult Pickleball Classes & Summer Clinics • Aqua Aerobics Cardio Stretch at BFAC I truly hope you enjoy all that Beachwood has to offer you!
