This camp is designed with shorter activities to keep young minds stimulated and bodies moving! Our campers will have fun with Minecraft learning to be creative with the assigned tutorials and builds using Minecraft Education software. After a break, they will learn beginner-level coding with the fun VEX 123 robots. They will add to their robots and the challenges with arts and crafts. Both Minecraft and VEX 123 with involve art, math engineering and technology that is age appropriate and educational. Parents are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early for show-and-tell before leaving for the day. On the last day, we will have an all camp assembly the last 15 minutes, so come even earlier for show-and-tell. Register at ClassroomAntics.com. Minecraft Coding teaches kids block coding using Minecraft for Education, which looks just like the Minecraft worlds they play on at home. Their challenges will involve science, animals, the environment, and thinking logically to help solve the problems. Laugh and have fun as you code your agent - and even race against it! Minecraft Animation Instructor: Classroom Antics Do your kids like to watch Minecraft movies on YouTube? Become the creator instead! Learn the art of digital animation using the Minecraft worlds as the medium in Minecraft Animation. Kids will make their very own Minecraft movies and learn the video editing skills to polish their finished product! The software is free, so the creativity can continue at home after camp is over.

What can be better than Roblox AND LEGO?! Kids ages 8-11 will enjoy engineering their LEGO builds which will later be referenced or built in the Roblox world. This hands-on activity will be a great preview of the lesson that follows. The Roblox lessons will allow kids to learn coding and design to create games and challenges that are as unique as they are! Camp Invention Instructor: National Inventors Hall of Fame
VEX Robotics Instructor: Classroom Antics
Explore connections between science, technology, engineering and innovation. Work together to seek solutions to real-world problems and sharpen critical 21st century learning skills. Young inventors will be dreaming up their very own futuristic smart home filled with gadgets, LED’s, technology and innovation; use tools to take apart robotic dogs and compare their inner mechanics to the anatomy of a real dog; design tracks for the Optibots to follow while exploring different modes of transportation and explore chemistry, non-Newtonian fluids and magnetism as they investigate magnetic slime. Learn to build and code using VEX IQ robots! Kids will be taught block coding to program their robot to meet each challenge given to them. Students who want a greater challenge can choose Python coding instead. Each camper will learn how to use the controller and code in combination to have some fun competitions. Campers will take home an engineering notebook that they will use to help them keep track along the way.
