Flame retardant coatings
1. Refer to manufacturer for supporting fire test evidence. All tested systems provide either a Class 0 (UK) or Class B (European) fire rating 2. Ensure that fire testing is appropriate for surfaces to be coated before proceeding 3. On wood based (combustible) surfaces, fire testing has been carried out on the representative surface of NEW/BARE particleboard, but would be expected to provide the same performance on coated surfaces 4. Contact the manufacturer for more information: For the redecoration of existing painted non- combustible surfaces , the choice of appropriate system will depend on existing coating history in terms of number of existing layers, and total coating thickness.
