Great things are coming soon! The Sanibel Recreation Center has partnered with CivicRec® to implement its Recreation Management software. The cloud-based solution allows residents greater visibility into offered parks and recreation department activities, classes, sports, youth leagues, memberships, and more convenient online registration and payment. It will also allow residents to search for and reserve community facilities, such as pavilions, parks, and recreation center rooms, all conveniently online. The CivicRec Recreation Management software is intuitive to navigate and easy for residents to use. It is mobile-friendly, allowing community members to search for local activities and events, register, and remit payment from any smartphone or tablet. ROWDY GAINES IS COMING TO SANIBEL!

Rowdy Gaines, is a renowned Olympic swimmer, U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame member, three-time gold medalist, and member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame. On Wednesday, March 6, Rowdy will speak at BIG ARTS at an event presented by Sanibel Captiva Trust Company. The event is free to the public, with a light breakfast starting at 9:30 a.m., and Rowdy speaking at 10:00 a.m. To RSVP, please call the Trust Company office at 239-472-8300. Rowdy will make a special visit to the Sanibel Recreation Center at 2:30 p.m. to visit with the youth swim team (SWAT) and afterschool program participants. Sanibel Recreation Center members are also welcome to attend!
