Annual Report 2021-2022

Letter from the President

Dear Alumnae, Friends, and Families, We are so grateful for your on - going generosity to Ramona. You have made an incredible impact on the curricular and co - curricular experiences of our students, as well as the remarkable work of our amazing faculty. We completed our 2021 - 2022 academic year with a deep sense of gratitude for your support which saw us through the challenges of the pandemic, bringing everyone back on campus, facing new ways of doing things, yet open every day to provide a supportive and academically challenging environment for our young women. Through it all, our students demonstrated their resilience -- and their sense of humor as we continued with weekly covid testing for all. As you know Ramona graduates are “ empowered, resilient, socially conscious leaders well prepared to meet the challenges of life as contributive members of the global community ”. The current students are no different. It is truly inspiring to see these qualities in our alumnae and to experience your strong support for the mission of Ramona. As we begin the 2022 - 2023 academic year, our commitment to a holistic faith - based education is unwavering. Our curriculum has been expanded with new UC approved courses; our theater program has been enhanced with the ability to rent theater space off - site, giving the girls the experience of a real stage area, our volleyball team has just become League Champs for the first time since 1995, and multiple service projects such as a beach cleanup and a food drive have already taken place. Your involvement and support have brought us to this point – and we count on your continued generosity to enable us to continue the mission of Blessed Marie Rose and the Sisters of the Holy Names. Whether it is to the Ramona Fund to be used for the area of greatest need or to the Scholarship Fund, every gift makes a difference! Please know that if you are in the area, you are always welcome to drop by for a visit and to see Ramona in action.

Gratefully,

Sister Kathleen Callaway, SNJM President
