Our retail managers jetted away from a dreary UK November last year to descend on the sunshine-filled Tivoli Carvoeiro Resort in Portugal for three days of business sessions, presentations and good times.
year’s theme was ‘uniforms’, and we got everything from cheerleaders and jockeys to police and brownies! As always, the Gala Dinner was the highlight, with everyone donning their best frocks for the glitzy event, which is an opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to all our managers for their hard work throughout the year. Suppliers presented their awards and our managers got the chance to walk, run, dance or glide down the red carpet to collect their High Flyer invites! Head of Retail, Paula Barrett, said: “2018 brought yet another fantastic conference in a beautiful hotel and fantastic location. It was such a treat to wake up to breathtaking views of the Algarve every morning.
2018’s conference was bigger and better than ever, with a record number of attendees, including retail branch managers, senior and key head office members, and suppliers. Many attendees were at the conference for the first time; read on for the lowdown from first timers, Mihai Catea and Claire Rosslee. Conference sessions were made up of key supplier presentations, business sessions – which included celebrating our success and agreeing actions for the coming year, and supplier matching making – which were really fun interactive sessions including everything from mini presentations to Q&As and games.
Evenings were hotel-based, including the infamous fancy dress night. This
