“A DAILY TRADITION OF MINE IS TO LOSE EITHER MY BANK CARD OR MY PHONE - TODAY IT IS BOTH! I HAVE BEEN RUNNING AROUND LIKE A HEADLESS CHICKEN LOOKING FOR THEM, WHILE MY TEAM ASK ‘HAVE YOU CHECKED YOUR POCKETS AND YOUR DRAWER?”

15:30 A daily tradition of mine is to lose either my bank card or my phone - today it is both! I have been running around like a headless chicken looking for them, while my team ask ‘have you checked your pockets and your drawer?’ Of course, I find them in my drawer as usual - panic over! 15:45 I discuss which story is best to put on our Hays Travel Foundation Facebook page with Lauren and Mihai. We look over what has been happening recently with Local Community Partnership and the Foundation to plan out which success stories we are going to promote on our social media. Today we chose to write about the Stanley branch where they raised a fantastic £1,426.30 from their fundraiser evening in aid of Henry Dancer Days. 16:45 For the last part of the day, I concentrate on figures for the Norfolk Show. I take a look at how many tickets have been sold today and which platform they have

eggs. I also give Michael, my other half, a quick ring as he works in Plymouth where he always seems to be sunbathing instead of working. Must be nice! 13:30 I use this part of the day to look through applications submitted by charities, asking for grants from the Hays Foundation. I do this alongside Mihai, and we like to discuss whether they meet the eligibility requirements, objectives and how we can help them with their application. 14:30 In the afternoon I catch up with Lauren and look at the Local Community Partnership proposals as the branches are starting to think about how they can best spend their £500 budget. At this time of year, a lot of the branches like to get involved with local schools to judge Easter egg competitions and provide chocolate eggs for them. Some branches are keen to start planning their summer coach trips which are very popular with the customers!

come in from so we can see which of our marketing methods are working best. 17:30 Time to drive home back up the A19 with Nanna Coates. 18:30 I have a talk with the grandkids on the phone and Mila tells me about her imaginary dogs. I always get the same question from them: ‘Can we sleep at yours, nanna?’ Spoilt rotten. 18:45 Get my Bendy Wendy matt out ready for Pilates! Seriously, that’s what it’s called. 20:00 After working up a sweat I have a shower and then relax in front of the TV to catch up on the soaps with a lovely gin and tonic. 21:30 (like clockwork) Time to get some beauty sleep, ready for the next day in the life of Mandy!
