After being greeted and checked in by a lovely lady at reception in Hotel Amaryllis we were taken to our room and advised of our amenities. Our room was spacious, airy and the décor was crisp white with rustic features and small bursts of blue for a traditional Greek feel. Home-style touches during our stay included a fridge, coffee station, safety deposit box, hairdryer, toiletries, dressing table, air-conditioning, fully equipped bathroom, private balcony, and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. As well as the room we opted for the breakfast-only option, which was something we always looked forward to at the start of our day. The breakfast was
buffet-style and had on offer hot drinks, cereal, bread, spreads, meats, cheeses, yoghurt, and sweet Greek delicacies. There was definitely something to suit everybody amongst the lot. The staff during our stay were extremely helpful and attentive and through the reception desk we organised several trips. These trips included sampling the grapes at Santo Wines Winery, discovering the excavations of the small town Akrotiri and checking out Fira, which is Santorini’s capital. Buses were very regular and were generally an easy process, so it was never difficult to get out and explore all the island had to offer. If there’s one thing I can recommend you do during your visit to Santorini, it’s to enjoy a 16 wine flight and cheese platter at Santo Wines Winery. The most

As a travel enthusiast and somebody with a never-ending bucket list full of places all across the globe I’d love to visit, Santorini was definitely up there at the top for my next adventure. My friend (also fellow travel buddy) and I arrived on the beautiful island of Santorini in the late hours of the evening with a smooth airport and transfer process and checked in to our hotel in good time afterwards. For our stay we opted for seven nights at the Hotel Amaryllis, which is situated in the stunning resort of Perissa.
