THE DOOR IS OPEN For change
I may be, tied up, but at least, I am HIS. I may be hurting, But I am HIS, I may be reluctant, but I am HIS, I may be lonely, but I am HIS, I may be frustrated, but I am HIS, That's why I am praising Him, because I'm glad He tied me up.
And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days; and I fasted and prayed before the God of heaven, and said, I beseech thee, O Jehovah, the God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and lovingkindness with them that love him and keep his commandments: Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee at this time, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, while I confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee. *RESTORATION* Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy Spirit from me. Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. This Bible verse is a call to spiritual stamina. Paul encourages us to stand firm—not in our own ability, but in faith. Sometimes strength looks like acknowledging your weaknesses, seeking help, seeking wise counsel, and taking small, but faithful, steps forward.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Our strength is a infinite resource. Our heart and flesh will fail us time and time again. This verse is a reminder that God is your strength. The word “portion” can also be translated as share, inheritance, or allotment. God’s promised presence is our inheritance, and in Him we have all we need.
"Prayer is the raising of one's mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God." "It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without heart." "Whether we realize it or not, prayer is the encounter of God's thirst with ours. God thirsts that we may thirst for him.
